Open module 6Each module ends with a takeaway box: if you cannot restate it in your own words, reread the module.
Do the exercises with the smallest amount you can send. Every mistake in this course is cheap to make; mistakes later are not.
The security module is the only one worth rereading once a year. Everything else can be looked up when needed.
No. The course is free and open source, and the app has no accounts, no paid tiers and no token. You only need funds if you want to practise sending.
It is a wallet for bitcoin-blake2b, a separate experimental network that shares Bitcoin's design but has its own rules and its own coins. Read module 1 → the network before handling real funds.
No, by design. The keys are generated and encrypted on your device. Your recovery phrase is the only backup — see module 3.
Only the queries needed to read the chain (and to broadcast a transaction), to one public API, optionally with community mirrors. Module 4 lists them one by one and shows how to turn the mirrors off.
The course is written in English only, on purpose: it is the canonical text and stays current. Use your browser's built-in translation (Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari all offer it) for any language.
Module 6 ends with a checklist for your first wallet. Take the app with you:
